Anti Mouse Interleukin 18
Interleukin 18 (IL-18) is a proinflammatory cytokine, which is part of IL-1 family. It is manufactured by macrophages and other cells. One of the main features of this interleukin is inducing cell-mediated immunity by working together with IL-12 and then coming after infection in participation of microbial products like lipopolysaccharide. When IL-18 is aroused, it makes Natural Killer cells and certain T-cells to emmit important cytokine, mostly known by the name interferon-γ (IFN-gamma). The sequence between both cytokines prevents IL-4 immunoglobulin E and immunoglobulin G1 production, and boosts immunoglobulin G2a construction in B-cells.
